In Loving Memory of Phan Thi Chinh, our beloved mother, grandmother, and the heart of our family, passed peacefully into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and unbreakable strength.
To those who were fortunate enough to know her, she was a true momma bear, full of grace, courage, kindness, and a love so deep it knew no limits. She always placed others before herself, never once asking for more, only giving more.
Born during a time of poverty and war, life was never easy for her. Yet through every hardship, she carried hope in her heart and strength in her spirit. She raised eleven children and made the brave journey to America in search of freedom and a better future for her family.
In America, she worked tirelessly, waking before dawn every day, collecting cans and bottles from dumpsters and streets to provide for her children and to continue helping loved ones back in Vietnam. There was no job beneath her if it meant her family would be cared for. Even into her eighties, her grinding never stopped. She continued to provide, to teach, to love, and to hold her family together.
She once said, I do all of this so my children and grandchildren will have a better life. And she meant it with every breath she took.
She never cared for wealth or recognition. All she ever wanted was love, unity, and for her family to stay close. To us, she was a rockstar. A warrior. A cowgirl with an unstoppable heart. The hardest working person we have ever known and the greatest mother anyone could ever ask for.
Mom, you were our everything.
Though every life must one day return to heaven, it feels far too soon that you had to go. I wish to see you again in the next life. I wish to be your son again and again, forever and always. No matter how hard life may be, all I ever wanted was life with you.
Now there is no more pain, no more suffering, no more worry. You gave so much to this world. You loved so fiercely. You sacrificed endlessly. Now it is your time to rest, our beautiful angel.
I will always look to the moon and see your beautiful face shining back at me.
Life is like a candle; once there is no more oil, the light will go out.
Nam m A Di Pht.
Rest in paradise, my sweet momma bear.
Tn Nhi thng mom nhiu lm.
Your love will live forever in our hearts, in our memories, and in the generations you built with your strength and devotion.
